Clinical
Informatics Consultants:
Clinical Informatics Consultants must have strong knowledge of
clinical systems or significant experience in computer applications.
Clinical Informatics Consultants analyze present clinical systems
and develop policies and procedures. Clinical Informatics Consultants
develop intranet for Clinical and assist in the development of
system changes in conjunction with clinicians and ITG staff. Clinical
Informatics Consultants test new developments; recommend changes
to enhance system use for clinicians. Bachelor's degree and three
to five years job-related experience. Clinical Informatics Consultants
must have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, team building/collaboration,
and leadership in groups. Clinical Informatics Consultants must
have a background in education. A Master's degree for Clinical
Informatics Consultants is desired.
Clinical
Informatics Consultants:
Clinical Informatics Consultants coordinate the data reporting
and analytical needs of the Finance department. Clinical Informatics
Consultants will assure that staff has access to claims data
that will optimize the departments' financial decision making
processes. Clinical Informatics Consultants implement and use
informatics tools, software, and systems to support the Finance
department and the organization's goals. Clinical Informatics
Consultants create new databases and reporting tools for monitoring,
tracking and trending based on project specifications. Clinical
Informatics Consultants must be able to manage various sources
of information and large data sets including pharmacy, claims
and encounter data, case-mix and/or other segmentation grouper
or predictive modeling tools for related analyses and quality
profiling. Clinical Informatics Consultants assist with research,
development and completion of special projects as requested
by various internal departments or in support of requests from
regulatory agencies, contracting agencies and other external
organizations. Clinical Informatics Consultants consistently
produce well thought out, error free work in a timely manner.
Clinical Informatics Consultants perform detailed quality checks
on all final products to ensure that customers receive reliable
and accurate information. Clinical Informatics Consultants demonstrate
a responsible sense of urgency when responding to requests.
